Earthquakes

I experienced my first and only earthquake in 2014 while on the coast of Ecuador in a small town called Puerto Lopez. At 2 am, I woke up sweating, covered in goose bumps, and instantly noticed the complete silence of the town. No dogs barking, no cars honking, just quiet. The earthquake hit the town about 1 minute after I woke up and lasted 45 seconds. After this experience, I would like to explore the models, concepts and social implications behind an earthquake
